Show SILK NIGHTGOWN AND , ONE CENT WON IN COURT CHICAGO, April 1Z.-A silk nightgown and 1 cent were t.ie trni.hies won by Mrs. M. McIIenry. H1 Warren avenue, in her replevin suit against Mrs. Emma Evansnadt, 90 Warren avenue, decided by Justice Grant. Mr. 'Evanstadt claimed Mrs. McIIenry owed htr itf cents room rent, and seized a nightgown belonging to the latter, saying she would keep it until the money was raid. Then Mr. M-Henry M-Henry obtained a writ of replevin. Mrs McHenry stated that she intended to quit the house and Mr. Evanstadt ng-eed to wake -her nt9 o'clock on the folowlng morning. She overslept and tho landlady claimed pay for overtime. The court decided de-cided that the claim was groundless and awarded the plaintiff 1 cent damages and possession of her nightgown. |
