BOISE, Ida., March 3.-zSteve Adams, member of the Western Federation of Miners, who was arrested on a ranch near Haines, Or., charged with complicity com-plicity in the assassination of former Gov. Steunenperg, and who on Wednesday Wednes-day of this week made a confession which Is said tofully confirm previous statements made .by the prisoner, Harry Har-ry Orchard, will not be taken before the grand Jury at Caldwell.' - f ' It is stated that sooner or later Adams will be taken to Colorado, where important im-portant arrests in the near future are probable.' Adams, it is stated, will hot resist extradition to Colorado. I The statement or confession signed by Adams, the purport of which . was made known by Gov. Gooding last night, covers twenty-four typewritten pages.' It is locked in a safety deposit vault controlled by James H. Hawley, one of the prosecuting attorneys. K . Warden E. L. Whitney states that when Adams was brought to the State penitentiary he .seemed greatly V depressed, de-pressed, but that since making this statement he seems lighter hearted and appears like a new man. ,. , - - I |
