Show OUT OF PRISON ' AND IN AGAIN Frank Edwards to De Taken to folsom for Unexpired Term. After serving a sentence of ten years, with allowance for good behavior, in the Utah State prison, Frank Edwards, alias Charles Kline, alias Harry Garth-side, Garth-side, will be released today and taken back to California to serve out an unexpired un-expired sentence In the Folsom prison. Several years ago Edwards, or Kline, was sentenced to a term of several years in the Folsom prison, but made his escape. He came to Ogden and broke into a house, stealing food to the value of 60 cents. For this crime 'he was sent to the State prison for ten years on a charge of house-breaking. The sentence Is finished today. Yesterday Turnkey Lamphrey of the Folsom prison arrived In Salt Lake with requisition papers for Edwards, which were at once honored by Gov. Cutler, and Edwards will be taken to the California prison to serve out the remainder of his sentence. Edwards was one of the men who escaped es-caped from the prison guards along with the notorious Harry Tracy on October, Oc-tober, 8, '1897. He went to Missouri and was there given a three-year sentence . for burglary. In 1900 he was returned to the Utah prison. |
