Show REPUBLICANS CALL CONVENTION IN IDAHO BOISE, Ida., Feb. (.Chairman J. H. Brady of the Republican State central committee has issued a call for a meeting of said committee com-mittee to be held at the Idanha hotel In Boise March 14. at 11 o'clock a. m.. to fix a date for the Republican Plate convention. It Is well known that Mr. Brady Is radically radical-ly opposed ' to a convention nomination for Senator. ()n this point, at leest, Mr. Brady and W. . Borah, an avowed candidate for Senator, do not agree. Gov. Gooding, another Senatorial possibility, has not spoken on this point, but It Is generally believed he is opposed op-posed to a conventional nomination. Candidates for the various offices within the gift of the people of Idaho are bobbing up Ir. nearly every direction. Among the Republican possibilities for Governor are ex-Oov. ex-Oov. Morrison. Mayor Pinney, Secretary of State Gibson of Boise. B. F. O'Nell of Wallace Wal-lace and' Francis Jenkins of Moscow. However How-ever It is understood that Oov. Gooding desires de-sires to succeed himself. Congressman French. Thomas Hamer. Maj. Fred Reed and Avery C. Moore, Republicans, would be pleesed to receive the Congressional nomination. W. K. Borah seems to have It all his way for the Senatorshlp from a Republican Re-publican standpoint. The Democrats are not saying much, but Heitfeld Is occasionally mentioned for Governor, Gov-ernor, and Dubois has a clear field In the matter of the Senatorshlp. The Democrats will no doubt make up far lost time later. |
