ORGANIZE New Association Will Be Branch of Salt Lake Institution; Murray organized a Business Men's association last evening and elected officers, the same to be a branch of the Manufacturers and Merchants' association. associa-tion. The new organization, which was permanently formed at a meeting of the citizens and business men of the Smelter city last evening, is to be known as the Murray Business Men's association. Special cars conveying members of the Manufacturers and Merchants' association as-sociation went from Salt Lake last night and promised their support in aiding Murray to . advance. At the meeting Mayor J. H. Stratton announced an-nounced its purpose and D. W. MofTat was chosen chairman and George A. Sanders secretary. Addresses were given by O. H. Hewlett. James W. Cahoon, Ca-hoon, D. W. Moffat.. Q. M. Mumford and several others. Twenty nominations were made, and from that number the following ten persons mere elected directors of the association: James W. Cahoon, David McMillan, Orson Sanders, Mayor J. H. Stratton, L. C. Miller. Mayor-elect Charles Brown, J. 8. Barlow, D. W. Moffat, Q. M. Mumford and Joseph C. Cahoon. At a meeting of the directors the following fol-lowing officers were chosen: J. H. Stratton, president: Charles Brown, vice-president; David McMillan, treasurer; treas-urer; J. S. Barlow, secretary; G. M. Mumford. J. C. Cahoon and L. C. Miller, Mil-ler, executive committee. |
