Show QUESTION Of EVIDENCE IN BIGLIBEL SUIT A jury has been secured to listen to the evidence of the libel suit of William R. Junes. Jr., against the Salt Lake Tribune. Joseph Llppman and Frank I. Sefrit. The last of the eight men to hear the case was secured in Judge Ritchie's court yesterdsy, and the Jury Is now composed of James R Asher. A. OreenewaJd. F. J. May, M H. Walker, George 8. Smith. Herbert Gedge, Richard W Ballard and T. W. Partridge. Tha first witness that was called yesterday was one of tha defendants. Joseph Llppman. He testified that' he was manager of tha paper pa-per during 1904. and at tha time the articles on which the suit Is based, was In charge of affairs. He Identified tha article published. The entlra morning session of court today was occupied with the hearing of argumen a c.n whether the entire serlea of articles ahould be placed in evidence, or that only excerpts ahould be put on record. Tha defense contends con-tends that the articles should be used In tbetr entirety, while the plaintiff avers that only certain statements should be placed In evidence. |
