Show STORM IS OVER; SPRING COMES Blizzard in Southwest Surrenders Quickly As It Came. KANSAS CITY, Jan. 23. The blizzard in this part of the Southwest moderated during the night, and today there was but little snow falling and practically no wind. At Kansas City the temperature tempera-ture was 10 degrees above zero this morning. Trains into Kansas City from all directions were from one to two hours late, but no serious interruptions to traffic were reported. Sunshine in Kansas. TOPEKA, Kan.. Jan. 23. The weather conditions over this portion of Kansas today are like unto a perfect October day, sunshiny and growing warmer each hour without a trace of wind. Hark! Peaches Are Killed. WICHITA,' Kan.. Jan. 23. The thermometer ther-mometer dropped to 6 above zero last night, but today came with plenty of sunshine. The weather today is very much warmer, and the wind has moderated considerably, but still blows a chilly blast from the northwest. north-west. St. Louis Not Out of It. ST. LOUIS, Jan. 23. The temperature tempera-ture registered 15 degrees above zero this morning. A light snow fell early today, but ceased at dawn. The weather bureau forecasts that no more snow will fall today, but that there will be a drop in temperature. |
