Show CROSS-EXAMINATION TOO MUCH FOR "WOMAN. Laboring under a severe crors-examl-nation in Judge Ritchie's court yesterday, Emma Johnson broke down and became hysterical. She had to be removed from the courtroom before she regained her composure and was able to proceed with her testimony. The witness was called for the defense in the suit brought by Mrs. Emelina Spiking for $50,000 damages from the Utah Light and Railway company for the death of Thomas W. Spiking, her husband. Spiking had both legs cut off in a street car accident two years ago. and his death followed a short time after. |
