The statement follows: . "I went down today to see the hospital for children suffering from bone troubles, which is managed in conjunction . with the fresh air fund of the New York Association for the improvement of the Condition of the Poor. The hospital is at 8es Breexe home, Coney Island. . About 230 children a4 taken each week to the Sea Breese under the fresh air fund and over 6000 during -the season. The hospital has room for only forty-five children, and there are more than 40U0 eases of bone tuberculosis in each tenement bouse district of New York. Now the trustees are trying to raise a fund for a honpital which shall hold 400 patients. The fresh air fune people are obliged to refuse admission to 2000 or more applicants annually. "The sa air treatment of bone tuberculosis hss been found to be marvelously successful. Here also it has proved so successful that at the Sea, Breese home they have not lost a single sin-gle patient. All were benefited and most of them were cured.
