Show CHINESE MERCHANTS ; ' TO' DISCUSS BOYCOTT .... " t VICTORIA, B. C, Aug. ,8. Among the passengers who arrived by the . steamer Empress of Japan yesterday were two wealthy Chinese merchants, Lo Man Ldung and Pan Chin Man, who are bound to Washington to discuss Chinese American Ameri-can trade matters with special relation to the boycott now being enforced against American goods in China, with the Chinese Chi-nese Minister at Washington. In an Interview one of the Chinese said r-that although they bad no official standing stand-ing they wished to lay certain matters with regard to the difficulties that had arisen before the Chinese legation in the United States. Lo Man Loung said there was a strong feeling at present growing in force in the coast cities of China for a union with Japan. |
