Show FEDERATION ELECTS ITS OFFICERS TODAY (Special to The Telegram.) PARK CITY. Sept. 12, 12:30 p. m. The Utah State Federation of Labor, which began its annual convention at this place yesterday forenoon In Masonic Ma-sonic hall, opened the session with sixty delegates present. Thfs practically cov- ers the entire State. Only routine business busi-ness has been transacted up to date. This afternoon at 2 p. m. comes up the most vital business of the session election elec-tion of officers for the ensuing year. It is pretty well understood that President Pres-ident J. T. Lavery of Salt Lake will be unanimously chosen to succeed himself. him-self. P. L. Speigel of Salt Lake will also succeed himself if his wishes are the sam. ts the delegates who want him. There are four vice-presidents; ot these it looks like Joseph T. Langford of Park City would be chosen for one, E. T. Locke pf Brigham will likely be chosen as another, an Ogden man and a representative from Eureka will complete com-plete the personnel of, the executive board. The social feature of the occasion will be the banquet and smoker planned by the Miners" union No. 144. in honor of the visiting delegates tonight. The convention will probably last Into tomorrow to-morrow night. |
