"The Inspection covered twelve prospects pros-pects and leases. It shows the nature ef the weal beds that ana being ope nod up and the size of the beds. "In "Wyoming a number of large, clean scams, both bituminous and sub bituminous coal, are belnif opened up and near Drifts. Ida., the applicants are looking for an extension of the seams found in the Idaho Coal Mines company property. As far as known this la the only commercial coal found in the state of Idaho. The coal opened up by the Idaho company la of good grade of bituminous coal apd due to the strategic position of the property there Is a desire to find the continuation continua-tion of the seam. ! "In neither Wyoming or Idaho has i there been so far as I know a complete com-plete test of the coal, as to Its coking qualities. In the territory over which I traveled and inspected the mines all have been shut down, only the prospects pros-pects being at work." |
