Show CITY jCOUNCIL Payroll amounting to $1042 00 was approved for payment at the Wednesday evening meeting of the city council. Members were extended an invitation to attend the firemen's annual party to be held Saturday evening at BCO hall. J. Lynn Booth and Gale Nelson, Nel-son, representing the Bingham Businessmen's organization met with council members in regard re-gard to more parking space be made available in the business district. The council agreed to take leases for two parking lets in the business district if satisfactory satis-factory arrangements could be ' made. City of Bingham also agreed to match Centennial commission com-mission contribution to the Ga-j lena Days celebration and re- j quested that Galena Days be made part of the Centennial ' i celebration. The city and fire departments will distribute fire extinguishers to all public buildings, church houses and place one on police i car, city truck and garbage truck. i A committee composed of Mel ! Christopherson, John Holmes, Earl T. James and Eugene Mor- j ris purchased the following fire equipment from War Assets Administration Ad-ministration at Tooele Ordinance Depot November 6: 600 feet of 1 12" fire hose, 12 C02 small fire extinguishers, 12 C02 large fire extinguishers, 6 firemen's axes and one large tank for the heating system at. No- 1 fire hall. |
