Despondent Man Ends Life in Garret Disappeared Feb Feh 14 Brother Sent to Repair Leaking Roof Finds Body of Relative With Shotgun Wound in Abdomen I 1 rHE r-rHE I HE body of Elliott ElliottE E Grow 41 years of age who disappeared 1 I from home o on February 14 was found in the garret of a soft drink bottling works at South Fourth West street by his s brother Harry Grow to today ar According to the police the tho man had committed suicide by shooting himself in the abdomen with a n shotgun Despondency over o the death of ot his wife which occurred two years ago and over his apparent inability to care for tor three of ot his five children is believed to have led him to take his life according to the officers Grow Crow resided at South Third West Vest street but the three children were in the care of a sister Doth Both Harry and Elliott Grow Crow were of the bottling works which is operated by Jess Tess Olsen Elliott drove a a. d delivery lIverY wagon for tor several years On February ry 14 he dIsappeared disappeared while at work and he could not be found It was believed that he be had left the city Toda Today the roof suddenly started to leak and Harry was was sent to InvestS invest gate In the attic above the ice Ica room he discovered the bod body of his brother Elliott lying face downward with the shotgun beneath him Apparently he had held the weapon against his stomach and moved the trigger with his foot toot sending sending- the charge from one shell sheH into his body Physicians were unable to state how long he may have lived after he I had Inflicted the fatal shot The body was removed remo to the Joseph William Taylor Undertaking company Grow Gron- was a son of the late Mr Ir and Mrs Irs Theodore M.
