S Hall The deputies were Joined In the search Thursday by two members of the fish and game department Golden Pea Pleasant Grove and Joe Madsen Vineyard and there were reports that t a special crew from the Salt Lake county sherIffs sherIff's sher sher- ff's iUs office also would join In dragging dragging dragging drag drag- ging ging- the lake for the body Sheriff Hall reported that the lake was rough Thursday and this was hampering the search There also was the threat of a storm Thursday morning as M the searchers returned to the lake with grappling grappling grappling grap grap- pling hooks hooles If U It starts storming we will have to call a halt to the search Sheriff Sheri Hall said We dont don't want anybody else to be drowned The boat and oars used by the hunter were found Wednesday afternoon afternoon afternoon aft aft- out In the lake about three miles southwest from where his automobile had been parked on Lincoln beach and Sheriff Hall said the searchers were Intensifying Intensify intensify- in ing their dragging in that area With the finding of the boat and oars Sheriff Hall said he felt It would be only a matter of time until the searchers had found the body pointing out that Mr Pratt could not have swum very far tar with his hunting clothes Sheriff Hall said he felt that there was little hope that Mr Pratt was alive because if he were he almost certainly would have been found by now |
