OCR Text Hey Gang Warm Up Your Christmas Spirit By BETTY BErry WAUGH Just t one more week week and and its it's Christmas vacation for Salt Lake high schools' schools guys and gals Youre You're probably so excited about it all that the last week of ot school will simply dra-a-a dra g dra-a-a-g g by you'll spend your time timo day dreaming of ot Christmas morning and what's in store and you'll be cross and grumpy into the bargain because lessons take so much of ot your valuable time Earn Your Holiday Well snap out of it Youve You've got to earn your vacation to really enjoy it Why not make the last week of ot school a really enjoyable one Get into the swing of the holiday assemblies enjoy the caroling in the halls to the utmost pitch in and really work to make your homeroom homeroom home homeroom room program the very best inthe In Inthe inthe the school Let Merry Christmas Christmas Christ Christ- mas end your conversations with teachers and pals alike In a few days you'll wonder how come school is so much fun this season Hold That Glow But remember remember keep keep th that t holiday glow when schools school's o out t tand and vacation time is really here herell Make Christmas a particularly swell one for mother and did dad by spending a little more time with them of an evening instead of always being on the go with the gang Give the family a bit of that special personality you usually save for the crowd Break Breakdown Breakdown down and talk things over With them You'd be surprised how much they'll understand Try to be on time to dinner all through the holidays holidays espe dally on Christmas day Cut that telephone conversation short turn off the radio pro gram put down that book but book but show up at the table right on the dot Family Affair Think up a game the entire family can enjoy together Sit through little brothers brother's murder mystery radio thriller once in a awhIle awhile while instead of complaining all the way through it because Its It's riot not YOUR favorite program Hand out a few compliments here and there Supposing you and younger sister generally arent aren't in the habit of telling each other the news that you look swell So what Its It's never to late to break down That surprised look on her face may turn into a compliment or r two for you Who knows Attention Fellas And to the boys in the family instead of dashing out the thedoor thedoor thedoor door the minute dinner is over why not spend an evening at home for a change You'd really be surprised to find out the folks folls are fun to be around Dad can manage to carry carryon on a fairly intelligent conversation about the war situation and mother might know a valuable tip or two about women for you after after all she's one you know Just extra bits of thoughtfulness thoughtful thoughtful- ness during the holidays are going to make them that much more enjoyable for everyone yourself included Merry Christmas
