Tho meeting was called to order by President Young, of tho Civlc-Bqt-torment Lcaguo, who stated tho object ob-ject of tho meeting nnd asked tlio. committee to report what hnd been accomplished In tho matter of estimate lng tho probablo cost of Installing nu Independent phono system. Mr. Mnrtln Ambrose, on behalf of tho committee reported the flmllngn of tho committee selected by the threo towns to co-oporato in this matter, which was substantially tho same report re-port as given by tho committee In Lehl, and outlined In tho account of tho Lehl meeting as glvcii, on another anoth-er page of this paper, it wes the finding find-ing of tho commlttco that the tele-phono tele-phono system could bo built, equipped, and operated successfully nud still allow al-low tho stockholders n goodly percentage per-centage of profit on their investment Upon motion of S. L. Chipman, seconded se-conded by H. S. Rnsmusfien, the report re-port of tho commlttco was accepted. Following this there was som open discussion of tho telcphono Hltiiallon, In which It was stated that the people of American Fork were pructleall a unit In support of thu proposition; that It could ho shown, and had hoot. shown, thnt tho Amorlcan Fork office was self-sustaining; und thnt those who hnd not yet hnd their phones removed, re-moved, would do so ns soon ns the now system was assured.
