J Howells city health commissioner in the weekly health heath report stated Saturday the city had more deaths fewer births and more quarantines for the week th than n for a similar period of time timea a year ago There were 77 births 48 deaths and cases of contagious disease disease disease dis dis- dis- dis ease reported for the week as s compared compared com corn pared to 82 births 41 deaths and cases of disease reported for forthe forthe forthe the same same- period in 1939 Of the cases of contagious and infectious diseases reported Saturday were measles 56 whooping cough 34 mumps 30 chickenpox nine German measles and seven scarlet fever
