Show TALENT REVUE PLEASESHEARERS Young people of Bingham district dis-trict possess a variety of talents, sufficient to present pleasing programs in an enjoyable manner, man-ner, it was proven at the Talent Revue of last Friday evening at Central school. Winning cash prizes of $5, $3, $2 and two $l's were Fino and Kina Contreras, Mexican dance; Rhea Lou Olsen, vocal solo; Sylvia Syl-via Seechuck, song; Billy Boren, song; Jack Knudsen, trumpet solo. Judges Joseph P. Scussel. Earl T. James and Elliott W. Evans gave three extra prizes of 50 cents each to Elma Pazell, vocalist; vo-calist; Vanda Adams, vocalist; Helen Zampos, violinist. Others introduced by John Osoro, master of ceremonies, were Betty Ann Contratto, accordion; ac-cordion; Beverly Burke and Dorothy Pantalone, tap dance; Patsy Murphy, saxophone solo; Marilyn Beehakis, song; Mary Sorenson, piano solo; Carol Mu-rano, Mu-rano, clarinet solo; Betty Brim-hall, Brim-hall, reading; Leo Murpny, cornet cor-net solo; Harry Manos, vocal solo; Ariella Moretti, accordion solo; Valene Rasmussen, piano solo. The CYO sponsored the program. pro-gram. Mr. Osoro interrogated each contestant as to age, length of time devoted to study and as to instrument played. To promote pro-mote fairness no previous announcement an-nouncement as to contestants was made. Decisions of judges were based on personality, ability abili-ty and applause given winners. a |
