It will be In section 12, about midway between tho present steel bridge on the road leading to Cedar Valley and the Interurban railroad rail-road bridge. Tho street leading west frVun the state rond, Immediately north of Judge Heck's home, will bo extended to meet with the street running run-ning east from NephI Slater's home about forty rods north of Thomas Col. lege's, and this street will bo extended extend-ed to the river. Tho brldgo will be at tho end of this new street, tho opposite op-posite end being on laud now owned by James Allred. The county commissioner!! are now advertising for bids for constructing the bridge. Tho bids will be opend on September 10th, and work on It will commence soon after. The specifications call for an all steel bridge with a span 1-0 feet between be-tween the piers. There will be six panels In the 120 foot spun, each of tliem 20 feet square, which mount that the bildgu will bo 20 feet high and 2U feet wide, 10 feet In tho clear. It is well trussed and will have n dead weight of 750 younds per linear foot, capable of carrying n live weight of iioublo this amount. A guard rail of steel luting two and one-half feet wide Is provided for on cither side. The floor of tho brldgo will be of 3 x 10 Inch Oregon Fir, with 1 x j Inch II In till frit tiffin The structure will rest on four con-'"' con-'"' Crete piers, each four feet In diameter, 20 feel long and incused In quarter Inch steel. Pnder each pier will be four 20 foot wood pilings, on which the concrete will rest. The concrete Is to bo 1 part cement, 3 parts sand and G parts gravel. The opening of the new street and construction of the bridge will bo n big convenience to tho new farming district which has developed over Jordan Jor-dan or recent years. It will give most of the land owners, north of Cedar Fort road, a shorter way to como to their homes In town? and materially assist In developing thut part of the country.
