Show JAYCEES, LIONS WILL HOLD WAR BOND CONTEST One feature of the coming Fourth war loan drive in Bingham Bing-ham will be the war bond sales competition between members of the junior chamber of commerce and Lions club. Under direction of Harold Chesler, Jaycees will Eut on a special campaign which egan at the regular meeting Monday night at the Bingham club when 20 Jaycees pledged themselves to purchase at least one war bond over regular bond purchases during the drive, i According to Mr. Chesler, Princess theatre will entertain members of the winning club at a dinner after the contest ends. Each member of the junior chamber donated $1.00 to the infantile in-fantile paralysis fund drive. Charles Bates is chairman of collections .within the group. The annual' junior' chamber of commerce .dinner dance is being planned for February by a committee com-mittee which includes . Joel . P. Jensen, Harold R. Barton 'and Charles Bates. ' . Plans are being completed for the annual banquet honoring an outstanding young man of the community. Elliott W. Evans, Bob Jimas and Harold Chesler are members of the committee and January 24 has been selected select-ed as tentative date. Warren G. Allsop and Chris T. Praggastis are co-chairmen directing plans for the Americanism Ameri-canism essay, speech and poster contest, which Jaycees will conduct con-duct in schools of Bingham district dis-trict the week of February 14-21. A special public, program is also being arranged. The Jaycees are sponsoring an athletic event being arranged for the latter part of January under chairmanship of Ken Shulsen. |
