Motion pictures were taken of the group and Mr. Granquist exhibited ex-hibited his colored films. Dinner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. S. W. Jacques were A. E. Davis and daughter, Ruth, of Cheyenne; Mrs. Glen Allredd, Mrs. Byron Powell, Mrs. Barney Fox, all of Ogden. Women's Benefit association, Alice review No. 16, met Wednesday Wednes-day evening at the home of Mrs. Wilford H. Harris. Special, guests were Mrs. Isabelle Murphy, state field director for WBA, and Mrs. C. L. Countryman, both of Salt Lake City. Mr and Mrs. Jackson Steele Sr. came home July 22 from a four-day trip through Yellowstone Yellow-stone park. John Reed, who left recently to accept employment in Provo, has returned to work in the office of-fice of the U. S. Smelting Refining Refin-ing and Mining company. Mrs. Reed and daughter, Judy, are visiting vi-siting relatives in Los Angeles. Gray and John Adamek returned return-ed early Thursday from a four-day four-day trip to San Bernardino, Calif. Masters of 13 Freeman avenue, recently completed a month's training, division artillery course No. 5, at the Field Artillery school, Fort Sill, Okla. Captain Masters was 25 years old July 27, and telephoned his parents, Sunday, Sun-day, that being his mother's birthday. The Masters family, in normal years when a joint celebration is possible, have a pleasant custom, an annual birthday birth-day party, for Mrs. Masters, her son and daughter, Miss Annie Masters of Salt Lake City, whose birthday is July 30. Mr. and Mrs. Koyle Simmons and son, Alma, and daughter, Delia Jean, returned Monday from two days at Schofield. Jensen Sr. of Highland Boy, was recently promoted pro-moted to the rank of sergeant. Jensen is with the Ninth Service Command at Fort Douglas. A doe deer was struck and killed by an automobile on the highway near English dairy Saturday Sat-urday evening. Mike Zampos, local lo-cal garbage collector, burned the carcass Tuesday. J. Frank Barton of Blanding visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Harold R. Barton following a visit of several days in Midvale Mid-vale with Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Barton.
