Wilson presided at a delightfully-arranged one o'clock o'-clock bridge luncheon last Friday Fri-day afternoon. Her guests included in-cluded members of a club and three special guests, Mrs. L. E. Stillman, Mrs. E. V. Knudsen and Miss Mabel Neprud. Mrs. Wilford 11. Harris and Miss Neprud won prizes. Hoses, peonies and shasta daisies decorated the rooms. Warren G. Allsop and Kent Stillman came from " Kamas to stay overnight Saturday. Saturday evening Mr. and Mrs. L. W. Sumniclit had as dinner guests Mr. and Mrs. Frank Zac-caria Zac-caria of Bingham. Mrs. O. R. Warner and daughter, daugh-ter, Mildred, left June 13 to vacation va-cation in the Uintah basin, j Mr. and Mrs. Roland Warner had as guests over the week-end Ramon and Norma Day, both of Salt Lake City. Last Friday Gorman Gor-man Day and son, M. G. Day Jr., of Fillmore, visited the Warner home. Honoring Mrs. R. L. Cunliffo, Mrs. Joseph McDonald entertained entertain-ed at a luncheon and handkerchief handker-chief shower Monday afternoon. The 15 guests were seated at two tables, each covered with ecru lace und centered with red roses in a crystal bowl. Mrs. R. G. Steele and Mrs. Lewis Arritola drew guest prizes, blue and rose printed breakfast mats. Mrs. Cunliffe and sons, Gene and David, Da-vid, and Mrs. Cunliffe's sister, Betty Byrne, are leaving this week to join Mr. Cunliffe, who now has a position in Los Angeles. An-geles. A delicious trout dinner was enjoyed at the Phil Dowdell home Wednesday evening by Mr. and Mrs. II. B. Merrill of Bingham. In honor of Erma June Gam-mell, Gam-mell, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. W. Ray Gammell, on her fourteenth four-teenth birthday, a delightful party par-ty was enjoyed Tuesday evening. Her guests included Margaret McKcllar, Janice Hansen, Norma Swain, Colleen Robison, Margaret Nix, Bonnie Bithell, Lois Groves, Carol Peterson, Jean Houghton, Jerry Pollock, Jack Knudsen, Steve Hausknecht, Bobbie Bailey, Walter Finnas, Davie Breckon, Jerry Mike Curry, Bobbie Pullan, George Dimas, Marvin Pullan, George Strike of Salt Lake City. "Bingo" and "Cootie" were played play-ed with prizes going to Marvin Pullan, Bobbie Bailey, Carol Peterson Pe-terson and Bobbie Pullan. A colorful col-orful two-course luncheon was served by Mrs. Gammell. Magdalyn Gust, who is employed employ-ed at Auerbach's department store, spent the week-end at the I II R. Gust home. Mrs. Frank Baugh of Logan is a house guest at the home of her granddaughter, Mrs. Joel P. Jensen. Mrs. Hannah E. Peterson of Ephraim, who has been a patient at Bingham hospital for several weeks, left Saturday to return home. Her son, E. Odell Peterson, and family are spending the summer at Ephraim. Mrs. Floyd Cox of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. Fred Cox and son, Floyd. Mrs. Edward L. Christensen and daughter, Nan, of Fairview, are spending two weeks with Mrs. M. C. Colyar. Mrs. Miles Gaythwaite entertained enter-tained her bridge club, Entre Nous, the evenin" of June 14. Her guests, Mrs .William Ablett and Miss Kay Braun, won prizes and Mrs. R. W. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Carrigan of Bingham entertained Tuesday at dinner, honoring Lt. and Mrs. Sidney R. Tregaskis who left Wednesday morning for San Bernardino, Ber-nardino, Calif. Patricia Whiteley, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. E. Whiteley, accompanied Lt. and Mrs. Tregaskis to Tooele, where they remained overnight Tuesday Tues-day at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Sid Tregaskis, and will visit several sev-eral weeks in San Bernardino. Shirley Watkins returned Monday Mon-day from Magna, where she visited vis-ited 10 days with Leola Cook at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Cook. Geraldine Watkins returned Saturday night from a three-day trip on the Provo river with Mr. and Mrs. W. W. Garrett, Willis Garrett and Mrs. Harry Watkins. Mr. and Mrs. L. L. Durnford entertained at Sunday dinner for Mr. and Mrs. Carter Grant and family of Murray, Maurine Hyland, Burton Durnford and Mrs. Edd L. Barnett. Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow V. Robinson Ro-binson and family and Mr. and Mrs. William J. WiLson and family, fa-mily, all of Bingham, were dinner din-ner guests Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Wilson. Mrs. Joel P. The twelve guests played games, Erizes going to Mrs. W. V. Ro-inson, Ro-inson, Mrs. Frank Zaccaria, Mrs. L. E. Barnett and Mrs. T. E. Tobiason. Mrs. Cunliffe received a lovely gift. Mrs. R. G. Steele, Mrs. W. A. Fike and Mrs. Tobiason Tobia-son were cohostess and with Mrs. Smernoff served a delicious late supper. Martha Circle met for one o'clock o'-clock luncheon Wednesday afternoon after-noon at the home of Mrs. L. L. Watson. Summer blooms were used in decorating the home and bowls of pansies centered the small tables seating 15. High score prizes at bridge went to Mrs. Louis Buchman, Mrs. Robert H. Bailey. Donald Olsen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Olsen, is spending the week at the home of his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Moroni Mor-oni Olsen of Pleasant Grove. Mrs. Dewey Mavne and daughter, dau-ghter, Shirley Rae, returned Friday Fri-day from a seven-week stay in Phoenix, Ariz. |
