Show parents of a son born August 27 at the Cottonwood Maternity Home. Mrs. John Reed and daughter, Judy, of Gold Hill, Utah, visited Saturday and Sunday with Mrs Charles Clinton. The Clintons and guests were in Provo Saturday. Satur-day. M. M. 2 c Glenn Eastman, home from the navy, surprised his folks Wednesday. He's here for six days. C.P.O. Allen Gleason arrived Thursday from Washington, D.C., to spend leave with his parents, Mr. and ?s. E. W. Gleason. Ho reports to San Francisco, September Sep-tember 20 ?.f.(Mrs: Nell's father, William Mittendorf, who left here two weeks ago after a several weeks' visit. Mr. Mittendorf. 75, was a former resident of Riverton and auditor for the Denver and Rio Grande railroad for more than 50 years. He was born in Hader-,Zen' Hader-,Zen' Denmark, December 27, 107. He moved to Denver 15 years ago and retired four years ago. He was a member of Wasatch Was-atch lodge No. 1, F. & A. M. Surviving Sur-viving are his widow, Nora Mittendorf; Mit-tendorf; two daughters, Mrs. Nell of Lark and Mrs. Evelyn Nelson of Denver; one son, Bud Mittendorf Mitten-dorf of Denver. The Lions enjoyed u dinner meeting at their club rooms Friday Fri-day evening. President Robert Goodwin was chairman of the meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Philip Mudget and sons, formerly of Salt Lake City, are now making their home at Lark Heights. Mr. Mudget is a U. S. shift boss. Mrs. B. A. Moran of Idaho Falls, Ida., sister of Mrs. E. W. Gleason, arrived Tuesday even ing to visit several days. Mrs. James Sonne and son, James Jr., of San Francisco, visited vis-ited at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Sonne three days last week. Dinner guests of Mr. and Mrs. Sonne were Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Sonne and daughter of Magna. Evelyn Knez of Salt Lake City was a week-end guest of her sister sis-ter and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. A. B. Peterson. Mrs. David Magee returned home Sunday from Bingham hospital, hos-pital, where she recently underwent under-went a major operation. Seaman Edwin Blaney was a guest of his brother and sister-in-law Mr. and Mrs. Ted Blaney. Mrs. Frank Bullock and daughter, daugh-ter, Doris, returned home Friday after spending the past month in Los Angeles. Mr. and Mrs. Valoy Hatch and son spent several days last week at Vernal. Clara Mae Phipps of Copper-field Copper-field visited Wednesday evening with Lorraine Clinton. J. -Christison of Lark and Petty Officer lc Howard Jackson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson of Lark, were married Saturday at Elko, Nevada, by Bishop Harry Williams Wil-liams at his home. The entire party enjoyed a wedding dinner at an Elko cafe. Petty Officer Jackson left Sunday Sun-day night to report at San Francisco Fran-cisco and his wife followed him Tuesday evening. Sunday the bridal couple were honored at a dinner given at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Al-fred Mellen of Tooele. Last Friday Fri-day evening James Korobas was host at dinner at Bingham. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Jackson entertained enter-tained for 45 guests Wednesday evening. Major Marvel Nell, son of Mr. and Mrs .R. P. Nell, left Wednesday Wed-nesday morning for Fort Sill, Okla., for advanced schooling. Pvt. Lynn Hensen, son of Mrs. Lionel Hensen, is spending si seven-day furlough at home.
