' Mr. and Mrs. Ray Carl and family were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lydia Carl of Salt Lake City. Mrs. Jennie Tapia was a luncheon lun-cheon guest in Salt Lake City November 7. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bullock were recent visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Christensen of American Fork. Mr. and Mrs. George Allen and Mr. and Mrs. Grant Williams enjoyed en-joyed a theatre party in Salt Lake City Tuesday. Mrs. George Georgeles spent Wednesday visiting her daughters daugh-ters in Midvale and Salt Lake City. Mr. and Mrs. Pete Sarris were overnight guests of relatives in Layton Tuesday. A program has been planned for today, Friday, at Copperfield grade school, in observance of "Education Week". Mrs. Marvin Cowdell of Copperfield Cop-perfield was hostess at a birthday birth-day party November 4 for her small son, Marvin. Games were played and luncheon served to the group. Sgt. Reed Timothy was a November No-vember 3 guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arvil Cowdell. Mr. and Mrs. Warren Hulse and daughters of Magna visited their sister, Mrs. Arvil Cowdell, November 2. Mr. and Mrs. Ted Bullock and son are now making their home on Terrace Heights. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Young of Salt Lake City visited Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson. An-derson. Sunday School, Ladies Aid Honor Three Friends A Farewell party Tuesday honored hon-ored the Rev. Meredith Smith, who is leaving Friday for Cambridge, Cam-bridge, Mass., and also Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pitts, who plan to make their home in Salt Lake City. Lovely gifts of appreciation were given the honorees by the Copperfield Sunday school children chil-dren and the Ladies Aid members. mem-bers. The Rev. Mr. Smith received receiv-ed a piece of luggage, Mrs. Pitts a collar and cuff set. A nice luncheon lun-cheon and games were enjoyed. Copperfield people wish the Rev. Mr. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Pitts the best of good luck. The Knitting class, under supervision su-pervision of Mrs. Kitty Smernoff, met at the home of Mrs. Joseph McDonald Tuesday. The meet ings in the future will be held each Tuesday. A surprise party was given by Mrs. Mildred Beckstead of Midvale Mid-vale November 4 at the home of her mother, Mrs. W. L. Leather-wood, Leather-wood, in honor of Teddy Leather-wood Leather-wood on his fifteenth birthday. Twelve guests were present. Bingo was played, prizes going to Vonda Scussel, Peter Makris, Donna Reid and Lynn Carter. Teddy received many useful gifts and a tasty luncheoh was served. Mrs. James A. Thomas and Mrs. Dan Delaney attended a shower, given in honor of Mrs. Parley Stoker, the former Miss Edith Beckstead of Midvale, November No-vember 6. Captain Leland Walker Jr., who is visiting his parents in Salt Lake City, spent Friday with Copperfield friends. Mr. and Mrs. Raymond C.
