L RAIDS DENY LIQUOR CHARGES I Five men and three women charged with possession of liquor pleaded not guilty In police court Thursday Trial In each case was set for June 18 by City Judge C. C F. F Dalby All were arrested Wednesday night in a a. series of police squad raids conducted by Patrolmen Fred OBrien O'Brien A. A A. A Reese and H. H K Record Joe Aiello Aleno 24 was taken into custody custody cus cus- tody at West First South street where officers said they found ten and one hat pints of whisky Don Holdaway 23 Jack Edwards 23 23 and J A. A Ingi 27 were arrested at East Sixth South street where the raiders reported that they were forced to break iri in the door All but buta a spoonful of liquor had been dumped the officers said J Jack k Hudson 20 of 22 West Vest Eighth South street was arrested in his home where the officers reported seizing bottles of ot beer vats and brewing paraphernalia A quantity of beer and one pint of whisky were reported seized in the home of Tilly Shay 35 of West South Temple street twenty quarts of beer in the residence of Gladys Taylor 32 32 of Poplar street and andone andone andone one and one-half one pints of ot whisky Inthe in inthe inthe the home of Mrs Grace Watson 56 56 of ot 69 North First West street With the exception of Mrs Watson Watson Wat Wat- son son who was unable to raise ball bail all were released from the city Jail on bond each o. o a I
