C 69 69 veteran member of ot the Salt Lake police pollee force died led at his home L street Tuesday Tues- Tues day ay alter after an illness o of several weeks Mr was a native of Ger Ocr many He came to the United States at t the age of 19 and after a brief stay tay in the east removed to Salt Lake where he had resided since He was appointed to the police force orce November 2 1911 and in 1914 was assigned to traffic For many years cars he had been stationed at South Temple and Main streets where he gained a citywide reputation for his courteous treatment to traffic viola viola- tons ors Surviving SUr are his widow Mrs Leona two sons Frank Frnnk Colorado Springs and Wilam Wil- Wil lEarn llam am Los Angeles and one daughter aughter Mrs Leonora Colorado Springs The funeral services will be held heldt nt at t Masonic temple Thursday at 1 p. p m. m Interment will be in Mt ML Olivet cemetery 4 I
