Show FORMER MA MAYOR OR DIES DIS George Swan in Utah Since 1865 Dies After Short Illness Nov l 7 George Gerge George Swan of Kaysville le died Wednesday Wednes day morning at at 8 k at his home after a a short illness Mr Ir Swan was born July 2 21 1857 was the son of the late George Swan and Agnes McDonald Swan who emigrated to Utah from Edinburgh Scotland In In 1865 1863 settling In Salt Lake City and moving to Kaysville Kays Kays- yule ville in 1870 where Mr r. r Swan married married mar mar- ried ned Mary Ann Layton December 12 1878 Mrs S an Swan Svan d died ed seven years ago S The dec deceased ased was as one of the promoters promoters promoters pro pro- of the Weber Davis County canal and with J. J G. G M. M Barnes Darnes and Hyrum Strong organized the Ka Kaysville Canning company of which he lie had held th the positions of director and id s secretary Mr Swan was a former mayor of the city and had been a member of the city council At the time of his death he was a right of way agent for the Utah Light and Power com company an a position he had held for fifteen n years The following relatives survive Mrs Louise S. S George W. W V. V Swan Irene Swan and and Ronald Swan aU all of Kaysville Mr Mrs Mr E. E M M. Bagley and C. C Max 1 Swan of of Salt Lake Mrs J. J S.
