The Salt Lake Cou nty Coarl held a fesion yesterday, at which the following business wm transacted: trans-acted: Selectman Howe, who was appointed ap-pointed a committee of one on May "1, In regard to the opening of a certain road, reported that lie dceracu.it advisable not to open it at present. In the matter of opening a road on Second West street, south, Judge Bartch reported favorably. The assessor presented assessment rolls A and B, Including tlie asscte-ment asscte-ment on the same rolls of, special school taxes for 1893. On motion of -'clectman Miller, it was ordered that an ad valorem tax of two mills on the dollar on all taxable property in Salt Lake county be levied. The court then resolved Itself into a board of equalUition to hear and consider complaints in regard to taxes. On motion the maltor was continued until July.il, when the court will sit from day to day until July 31.
