Show Duma. Amn.Inc Himself. Paris, Sept. 2S. Alexander Dumas Du-mas has lately been amusing himself him-self at the expense of the maiugtrial fraternity of Paris. He wrote a play, which he had copied In Uie usual way, but omitted his name from thu title page. He sent It to thu manager mana-ger of a well-known theatre, wiUi a note asking his consideration on behalf be-half or thu work, but or course he carefully avoided giving any clue by which he could be recognized. In a few days herecelved his manuscript manu-script and with It a note, the contents con-tents of which must ! known to everyone who has succumbed to the weakness of writing a play. Richard Harlan of the First Presbyterian Presby-terian Church, and a son of Supremo Su-premo Court Justice Harlan, surprised sur-prised his congregation tills morning by announcing that be had decided to resign tho pastorale. To a reporter re-porter Harlan said Uiat he did not care to discuss the reasons, which had led him to offer his resignation.
