Show Mr. and Mrs. William Leather-wood Leather-wood had as dinner guests Wednesday Wed-nesday Mr. and Mrs. Ken Beck-. Beck-. stead of Midvale. Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Bullock and family were recent business visitors in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Adalene Harrison of Cop-perton Cop-perton was an overnight guest at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Le-land Le-land Cunliffe February 25. John Anderson Jr. of Salt Lake City was a week-end guest at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. John W. Anderson. Connie Brown joined Betty Byrne and Faye McKellar, both of Copperton, in a visit to Salt Lake City Monday. Isabell Rose was an overnight guest of Colleen Creedon of Bingham February 25. Mrs. Gus Callas has returned home from a two weeks' business busi-ness trip to Portland, Ore. Mike Callas, who has been a resident of Portland, Ore., the past year, and has been living with his mother's brother-in-law and sister, sis-ter, Mr. and Mrs. Howard Robinson, Ro-binson, returned home with his mother. Mr. Callas is now visiting visit-ing Dean Sarvis of Layton. Mr. and Mrs. James A. Thomas Thom-as were visitors Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Hoine of Midvale. Pvt. Nicholas Contreras returned re-turned to Luke field, Ariz., Saturday, Sat-urday, February 27, after a three-week's three-week's furlough at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. B. Contreras. Con-treras. Cpl. Gene McDonald called his Barents, Mr. and Mrs. Myles Mc-onald, Mc-onald, by long distance telephone tele-phone as he passed throueh Salt Lake City en route to Florida. Gene had been stationed with a signal corps in California the past 17 months. Mrs. Sotora Lopez and daughter, daugh-ter, Ofelia, of Old Mexico, are now visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. B. Contreras. Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Cole entertained en-tertained Mr. and Mrs. Bill Hickman, Hick-man, Mr. and Mrs. LaVere Jones and 11 Crescent high school girls Sunday. Record making was enjoyed en-joyed during the afternoon and evening. At 5 o'clock a delicious luncheon was served. ' Mr. and Mrs. Reed Timothy, i who have been living in Tele-, Tele-, graph, are now at home at the Bogan apartments. Little Margo Ann Cole, daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin A. Cole, celebrated her third birthday birth-day February 27. Mrs. Paloma Moore received a telephone call from her brother, Major Glenn Dyer, from Maine, who told her he had a 10-day leave and will fly here to join her in a trip to Las Vegas, Nev., to visit their parents. Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Halver-son Halver-son and Leland, Paul and Vivian Halverson spent Sunday in Springville with Mr. Halverson's mother, Mrs. Mary Halverson. Bonnie Jane Hill, little daughter dau-ghter of Mr. and Mrs. J. W. Hill, had her first birthday February 23 and celebrated at a party Tuesday afternoon. Children of the neighborhood brought presents pres-ents to Bonnie Jane and enjoyed enjoy-ed birthday cake and ice cream with her. Mrs. Byron Peterson will entertain en-tertain this evening (Friday) for the Lucky Thirteen club at dinner. din-ner. O : COPPERFiELD Willamay Tervort, Ph. 284 e eeeeeeee A Boy Scout Court of Honor will be held at the Copperfield school at 8 p.m. Tuesday, March 9. Parents and friends are cordially invited to attend. A campaign to collect books of interest to service men - is being conducted this week by Copperfield Boy Scouts. This is being held in cooperation with the drive being pushed by the Salt Lake - Boy Scout council. Other groups have tried to gather victory books but the Scouts are pushing a final "mop up" in an effort to put this district over the top. Anyone willing to give one good book to the drive is aBked to telephone 360J and a Scout will call for the book-Mr. book-Mr. and Mrs. James A. Thomas Thom-as had as their visitors recently Mr. and Mrs. Warren C. Keate of Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Drennen and son, James, of Los Angeles. The Drennen Dren-nen family formerly lived in Copperfield. Mrs. Agnes Ivie and children, Jean and LeRoy, spent February Febru-ary 25 visiting Mr. and Mrs. Alt Ivie. |
