Klectric light towers were blawn down and whole blocks unroofed. Yerxa' wigwam, MiGill c Co.s warehouse, the opera house, Jit-publican Jit-publican office, Keeney. block, Hank of North Dakota, Caplu block, Kxchauge Hotel, Continental Continen-tal block and the Manitoba freight houso were unroofed and thu Milwaukee Mil-waukee depot blown down. Dorens Ofifian houses Here razed, and almost al-most every pljjtfc:!aia window on Front Street and 2;roadwar Is broken. Jay Cook's Hotel and tlie Grand Pacific at Moorehead were unroofed. The residence of the late Captain McCarthy, corner of Fifth and Ninth, was struck by the storm and demolished. Seven ehiUren were Instantly killed and Mrs. McCarthy is nbttipected to live. Two unknown ItSiUzja in a lox . car were killed. The No. I pafect"-ger pafect"-ger tialn on the Northern Pacific going west had Just lulled out of the yards and stopped at thu Milwaukee Mil-waukee crossing. The train was made up of three baggagu cars and nine coaches and sleepers. A party of Chicago A Xorthwestera officials were in a private car and Superintendent Superin-tendent McCabe's car. A 11 of the coaches were blown from the track, liut no lives were lost and no one fatally hurt. The light had been put out. so there was no fike noh steam.
