Show A Pleasant Time. The chaiug exercises of tlio Nineteenth Nine-teenth Di-trict School were held in tlicschoolhouseof tlie district yesterday yes-terday afternoon. The programme was arranged by the fire teachers of the district, under tlie d irection cf Mr. II. A. cmith. principal, and consisted of opening remarks by Mr. H. A. Smith, singing and recitations reci-tations by members cf the primary and Intermediate departments. Six young ladies from the ad-vani-ed department Misses Kmily Fames, Mattie Folsom, Olivia Foi-sem Foi-sem Grace Smith, Maria Varlev and Hattlc Wallace having jiasseil a critical examination in tiie several sev-eral branches of education taught in the school, had graduated and were presented with certificates entitling them to enter any high school or university in tlie Territory. Miss Fames read an essay of her own composition on "Government," "Govern-ment," which gave evidence of much research and scholarly ability Mis3 Mattie Folsom also read an essay of lierownconipositlon,belng a valedictory address from the scholars to thcteachcrsand trustees. It showed much literary ability.
