Show The JnTerJHli Opera: A well attended matinee ifcil s full heuse at tlie night performance, greeted thb well drilled comjeiny that presented ihe comic opera: "Billce Taylor" yesterday, nt tii'fe Theatre. It was successful in every sense. Tho solo singing was well executed, the choruses were good, the acting excellent and tlie management man-agement praiseworthy. Tlie opera Is well adaptod for a juvenile jwrformance, and. the com-iany com-iany thoroughly entered into Its spirit Miss Ituby Clawson exhibited exhib-ited the ability common to the Clawson family and was truly at the head of the young people who appeared ap-peared in tlie opera. 3IIss i-dith Kllerton made a dashing appear ance and surprised all ner auuuors. 3Iiss 3Iary Hollander was funny In the extreme, and her principal song was thunderously applauded. Miss Pearl Sharp, Miss Daynes and Miss Goldberg each sang Willi .good effect nnd sustained their Jrta admirably. ad-mirably. John Taylor, Fred Butler and Sqcncer Sbulres each deserved the applause which they evoked, and Miss Claire! Clawson delighted de-lighted everybody with her graceful grace-ful aud artistic dancing as did Miss Pearl Duulapln thelllshland Fling. The orchestral music was finely rendered, and 3!rs. Williamson, who had trained tlie young people, showed herself an adept In the art. The opera will bear teproduction and ought to draw out the general public, in force, on some occasion when holiday amusements do not draw so many away from town. |
