R Hill HUl a pioneer of ot 1847 with whiskers nine inches long long- from the point of ot his chin was awarded the prize for tor the longest flowing beard of any age Robert Roberl Sweet Sweeten n or Salt SaIt Lake also an 1847 1841 pioneer and one one of the founders lounders of ot the town of Mendon was a close second with eight inches Joseph ph Berry of ot Salt Lake with keen keer sympathy for Sweeten contributed 10 toward the purchase of ot a gold golc watch a duplicate of at the one awarded Mr Hill and within five minutes the tho balance was raised Second prize a gold ring for the best novelty or freak growth raised In 1924 went to Serge Olsen of College A pair pall of cuff links third prize for tor forthe the most luxurious 1924 mustache mustache mus mus- tache went to Lyle Larsen of ot Logan Log I For or the best 1924 trop Crop of whiskers whis whis- kers Wilford Nielsen nelsen of ot College carried off the fourth prize 10 I Aw awarded by bythe the chamber of com corn merce Another College ge resident C.
