The next heard of him was when he made a break to get away from the chain gang. He was captured by some workmen, and was brutally beaten over the bead by a guard named McGlll. Then he was taken to Uie hospital, and the doctor had doubts as to whether he could recover from his Injuries. On Saturday, however, the doctor reported that all danger was passed, and Uiat, while Uie h renchman was sUH in a serious condition, no uneasiness un-easiness need be felt for Uie outcome. out-come.
