Several members were absent, and no attempt was made to commit those present to the support of any proposition. The postofilce had been transferred from John Cooper, who kept the office- In his store, to Roberts' store. Cooper and his friends organized a lxivcotl against the postofilce. Cooper's son carried the mail for a large number of the patrons of the office to his father's store, aud it was there distributed dis-tributed in the old boxes. Cooper's friends also deposited their mail at his place nud he carried it to the nearest rallro-id station.
