Show On Friday, April 28 the Mm-erette Mm-erette club of Bingham high school -held their annual Mothers day tea in the Masonic hall. As the mothers entered, they were ereeted by a reception commit-j fee which includd Miss Virginia j Harris, advisor, and Darlene Johnson, Lola Jean Gammell, Ellen Vidalakis, Vida Rae Poul-sen Poul-sen and Betty Bnmhall. Mary Lou Lyon, chairman of the tea, opened the program witn a welcoming address to mothers and guests. Marilyn Miller played play-ed a marimba solo, "Deep Purple" Purp-le" New club officers were in-troducted in-troducted and presented corsages corsag-es to outgoing officers. A "Tribute to Mother was given by Darlene Johnson. Mrs. David C. Lyon gave the "Response". "Re-sponse". A vocal solo, "Love to Him", was sung by Shirley Parkin. Par-kin. , A piano solo, "Minute Valse , was played by Vida Rae Poulsen. The table was covered cov-ered with a beautiful cut work StVand the centerpiece con-sisted con-sisted of a spray of daffodils ana purple iris with yellow tapers at Beverly Anderson and Marjor-ie Marjor-ie Pullan invited the guests into the tea room. Pouring were Vivian Viv-ian Wells and Ellen Vidalakis. Those serving included Darlene Johnson, Joan Nelson. Me ba Ottosen, Audrey Groves Olga Furgis, Fay Aposal, Lois Larsen and Betty Brimhall. i a musical program was given during the tea. The committee for the tea included in-cluded Mary Lou Lyon, chairman, chair-man, Darlene Johnson, co-chairman; Willadeen Hodges, refreshments; refresh-ments; Olga Furgis, Beverly Nix programs; Lola Jean Gammell, entertainment; Vida Rae Poulsen, finance. We wish to express our appreciation appre-ciation to all members of the Minerette club and visiting speakers speak-ers who aided in making our Mothers day tea a success.
