V., has decided that tbe resolution passed by the Grand Lodge at its last session, providing pro-viding for ridding the order in the State of the saloon keeper members, is Iu conflict with former decisions of the Sovereign Grand Lodge, and that the resolution will not Iss enforced. en-forced. The decision bas not yet been proclaimed to the members; it is the first case in the history of the order in the State In which the Grand Master had found It neces sary to revise a resolution which had been adopttd by the Grand LoJfie. The action taken by the Grand LoJge bas caused a great deal of controversy, aud prominent members mem-bers of tlie order had employed lawyers and projesed to present the matter to the Sovereign Grand l.odgo of the United States, confident confi-dent that the State Grand Irfxlge would l overruled. The decision of Grand Master Rixey renders this unnecestary.
