It provides that a jiersou who stacks hay, straw or other Inflammable Inflam-mable material at a closer distance thau sixty feet to Bny building iu which fire Is kept shall be liable to a fine of ten dollars for each sejiarate offense. So far the ordinance is sound and commendableind would be throughout through-out except for one- feature. That Is, wherein italso provides that after the cliier or fire department lias notified a person who is acting at vnrianoe with the oruinance to remove the offending hay, htrvw, or otbir combustible material to a legal location, loca-tion, a line of ten dollars shall be imposed for each day, subsequent to the notification, wherein there has lie-en a ftllurc to compl with IL It is a i lain ieg-il propo-ition that the corporation cannot rcaku tho punishment of a (lerson contingent upon tlie action of an oflieer.
