Show THE FOURTH IX l'RISOX. Celebration of Iudqi'iidencc Ijr in the rcnilcatiary. Tne call to ordr was made at 3 p m., in the large dining room, un der the leadership of M. ttoorge Martin. Th? programme 'Vis called li lr. F. J. Stark, the Inner warden; the fire: number being the "Star-Spaugled "Star-Spaugled Banner," by the land and choir; after which recitttlons, songs, etc, iutersperrfl with music, made up a ery agreeable entertainment. The address was delivered 'i H. W. Xaisbitt, the ontion by XV. P. Evan-, and the reading of tlie- Doc-laratlou Doc-laratlou of Indejiendence was by George Martin. Beeitations wrem given by it. W Brown and W XV Wilson, and -ongs by T. Murchleand G. Martin. The choir was comi-ed of Messre. Montrose, Fisher, Conner, St. Clair, Beed, Murrav, Martin, Wilfon, Pratt and Wilkinson The land included Wm. Oraut, Moutrifse, Hauertach and iliilse,tlie latter being organist also. Among the visitors" were Marslial Parsons and family, Warden Van-dercook Van-dercook aud family, Guard Ban-dolph Ban-dolph and laii, and also Mrs. -tark, Mrs. Cleveland and si-ter, Mrs l'ai ne and several other ladies. The ius'de of the dining room was decorated for the occasion, as wis al-o the esterinrof the building with the natural colors. Much credit is due to those, who practiced faith-fulli faith-fulli to make tlie celebrition a sue cess, as also to the acting authorities for their countenance of that which was not only suitable for the day, but a relief from the monotonous routine of prison life.
