H Watson general manager of the Emma Sliver Silver and Alta Merger I mines after a few days in Salt Lake left early this morning for the proper proper- ties at Alta Mis where he is personally su supervising supervising su- su development work that has some promising future At the South Hecla mine Sir Mr Watson states that the Skipper stop is still stillI I holding out well after four shipments of ore A good grade of direct smelt smelt- big ing ore 1 is being obtained and the property prop prop- only erty is looking promising he says At the Emma the principal Work is 9 being beng done in the north end on time the level where the new ore zone was op opened open op- op en ened d a short abort while ago While developments develop develop- ments have not yet proven a big tonnage tonnage ton ton- nage In this section it is promising and there is considerable ore in sight with outlook good for developing a big ore body if the present beds continue Tests have been run in the experimental mental mill with satisfactory results The mill has not started operations ona on a producing scale yet but Mr Watson expects to have it operating within a short while Lack of workmen is hindering hin hin- dering operations slightly at the present time Columbus Rexall's ore body continues lo to develop and according to Mr Wat Wat- son Is one oie of the largest in the district at the present time |
