Show SERVICES HELD SUNDAY FOR J, L. LOVERIDGE Many relatives and friends paid final tributes of respect to the life of J. LeRoy Loveridge, at funeral services conducted in the First ward chapel, Sunday afternoon. Mr. Loveridge died Wednesday afternoon at the family residence, after several days illness following a heart attack. Burial was in the Evergreen cemetery, under direction of A. Y. Wheeler and Son Mortuary. Born in Lehi in 1883, a son of Daniel Ambrose and Sarah Bollen Loveridge, he had made his home in Springville since 1919, coming here three years after his marriage mar-riage to Grace Fullmer of this city. His early life was spent in Lehi and in Idaho, and later he resided in Bingham, where he engaged in mining activities. While there he was affiliated with the Bingham Volunteer Fire department. He was an expert machinist and mechanic, and worked for a number num-ber of years for various firms in this area, as well as for the General Gen-eral Electric Company in Utah, Idaho, Colorado and Oklahoma, supervising the installation of steam turbines and other electrical equipment. For the past several years he had engaged in farming, fruit growing and poultry. He was a High Priest in Kolob stake and took active part in other organizations, including genealogy committee work, of which he had served as president. He had also served as president of the First Quorum of Elders. Survivors, besides his widow, include in-clude a son and four daughters: Richard LeRoy Loveridge; Mrs. Beth Lambson, Mrs. Leslie Francis and Carol Jean Loveridge of Springville; Mrs. Nola Stubbs, of Provo; also seven grandchildren and the following sisters: Mrs. Rex Holden, Whittier, Calif.; Mrs. Rose Marriott, Bingham; Mrs. George Pickering, Line, Oregon; Mrs. Ruby Carlson, Pocatello, Idaho. |
