that hereafter no franchise shall be granted to any street railroad company or electric cmpny light or telephone company or any other person persons company or corporation whatever asking any pi it lieges from Salt Lake City corporation corpo-ration except there Khali b inserted and excp part of such grant or franchise a provision that sudi companies com-panies persons or corporations shall pay a tart of their gloss earnings into the city treasury of ball Lake City Mr Noble moved adoption Mr James wanted the word This Tlon shall apply to all existing granted added franchises heretofore City Attorney Merritt said the Council could not add any conditions cd condi-tions to franchises heretofore grant cdMr Mr James raid it would b well for the council to fled out what It could do He was not
