Show ORDINANCE AN ORDINANCE EXTENDING THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SPRINGVILLE, A MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, OF THE STATE OF UTAH. WHEREAS, on the 15th day of March, 1947, there was filed with ', the City Recorder of Springville City, a petition toy Ellen Anderson j and Margaret J. ' Miner, et al, (being a majority of the owners of real property situated in the tract hereinafter described, re- questing that said tract of land be taken within the limits of Springville Spring-ville City, and also caused an accurate ac-curate map or plat to be made and certified to by a competent surveyor sur-veyor and approved by the Springville Spring-ville City Enginer to be filed with the City Recorder. WHEREAS, ttie said tract of land is contiguous to Springville City and there is no proper reason why it should not be annexed to and made part of said city; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Springville City, after examining said petition of .said owners of said tract of land and considering the circumstances thereof, voted by unanimous vote of all members of said Council in favor of annexing annex-ing said tract of land to Springville Spring-ville City and directed that an or-I or-I dinance should toe passed annexing said territory and the extension of jthe city limits of said Springville :City accordingly. 1 he is hereby directed to file with 1 the County Recorder of Utah County a copy of the map or plat above mentioned, duly certified and acknowledged as provided in such cases, together with a ' cer- . tified copy of this ordinance. Section 3. In the opinion of the 1 City Council of Springville, it is necessary to the peace, health and safety of the inhabitants of Springville City that this ordinance ordin-ance shall ibecome effective immediately im-mediately upon its passage and publication. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT AND IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED ORDAIN-ED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SPRINGVILLE, STATE OF UTAH: ' Section 1. That the city limits of Springville City be and the same are hereby extended and enlarged en-larged so as to include the following follow-ing described tract of land in Utah County, to-wit: Commencing 3.95 chs E from the NE cor of the NW4 of the NW of Sec 9 T 8 S, R 3 E, S. L. B. & M. Thence E 5.30 chs to the West boun-dry boun-dry of the old U. S. highway 91; thence S 34 deg W along said boundary 7.64 chs to a fence-line; thence N 82 deg. W along said fence-line 1.00 chs to the East boundary of the new U. S. highway 91; thence Northerly along said highway boundary 6.20 chs more or less to beginning. Area 1.92 ac. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED OR-DAINED that the whole of the above described property be and is hereby zoned as Industrial. AND BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED OR-DAINED and declared that when this ordinance takes effect the said tract of land above described shall thenceforth (be within the corporate limits of said Springville Spring-ville City and zoned as Industrial District as in the ordinance provided, pro-vided, and all ordinances, jurisdictions, juris-dictions, rules and obligations of or pertaining to said Springville City are extended over and made applicable and pertinent to the said tract of land, and the streets, blocks, alleys and ways of said ! tract shall be controlled and governed gov-erned by the ordinances, rules and regulations of said city in that behalf, and the monuments of the City Engineer shall thenceforth be taken therein as the standard locations lo-cations and distances. (Section 2. Upon the passage of ; this ordinance the City Recorder of Springville City shall file and |
