Show Civic Clubs Plan Meetings - - Jaycees ... ' The Junior Chamber of Commerce Com-merce announce their meeting for next Thursday beginning at 8 p. m., at Memorial hall, when Mrs. Jessie Schofield, recreational director, of Provo, and a national recreation, officer, will be guest speakers. The program promises to be one of special interest, announces President Verl Whiting. . Lions . . . The Lions club this evening is a Ladies Night affair and will feature fea-ture a dinner beginning at 7:30 p. m., in the Second ward banquet ban-quet hall. The dinner is being served by the Fifth ward Relief Society. In connection with the dinner, there will be a program consisting consist-ing of some excellent music and other numbers. Arrangements for the entertainment enter-tainment are under direction of a committee headed by Fred Engle-hardt Engle-hardt who will be. assisted by Ivan Child and Warren Beardall. A fine time is promised and all Lions and their partners are all urged to attend. Kiwanis . . . LaMar Eggertsen, former staff sergeant of the 145th Field Artillery, Artil-lery, who is manager of the BYU debating team, will address the meeting of the Kiwanis club this evening at Memorial Hall, announces an-nounces Clarence L. Jensen, secretary. sec-retary. Sterling Price will be toastmaster and the. meeting will be under direction of J. W. Grant, the president. The speaker will discuss the subject, "A Veteran Looks at the Post-War World," and in connection connec-tion with the talk, music will be given by Barney Rawlings, former for-mer veteran, student of the BYU. The club is also making plans for the Children's Christmas party par-ty which will be directed by S. J. Boyer and H. T. Reynolds and will be held on. Thursday, Dec. 20 Secretary Jensen also announces announc-es that six club members plan tc( attend the Officers' Traininj 1 school at Idaho Falls, Ida., 01 ' Dec. 1 and 2, including Harrisoi.' Conover, Oliver Dalton, Milton Harrison, Victor Frandsen, Sterling Sterl-ing Price and Clarence Jensen. |
