Show New Officers Named In Sixth Ward New Officers Sustained For YWMIA, YMMIA, Primary, and Junior Sunday School, Announces Erwin Sheffield, Bishop of the Ward Reorganizations in the Sixth Ward Primary, the Junior Jun-ior Sunday School and the. Young JMen's Mutual Improvement Improve-ment Association and the Young Women's Mutual Irh- provement Associations, are announced an-nounced this week by Bishop Erwin Er-win Sheffield. . The new officers were sutained Sunday, by the bishopric of the ward. Richard Haglund was sustained superintendent of the Y.M.M.I.A., with Frank Witney, first assistant and WOlard West, second assit-ant. assit-ant. Farlin Wood is the secretary. The retiring officers include Bert Cherrington, Edgar S. Best, Richard Rich-ard F. Haglund and J. Edward Forshee. New officers in the Y.W.M.I.A. include Mrs.- Virginia S. Ivey, president; Mrs. Margaret Holda-way, Holda-way, first counselor; Mrs. Gwen P. Lloyd, second councilor; Barbara Bar-bara Hall, secretary;' Mrs. Flossie Sanford is the retiring president; Mrs. Mary Weight and Mrs. Julia Cherrington, councilors, and Mrs. Beth F. Dallin, secretary. The Primary leaders include, Mrs. Ora R. Pyer, president, to be assisted by Mrs. Harriet M. Strong and Mrs. Helen P. Goodliffe, councilors; coun-cilors; Mrs. Josephine Collett, secretary-treasurer. The new officers succeed Mrs. Frankie Averett, Mrs. Lona Warner and Mrs. Maggie Mag-gie Wood. Mrs. Collett formerly served as secretary-treasurer. In the Junior Sunday School, Juanita Larabee will serve as the new superintendent, with Mrs. Mae Miller and Mrs. Lois Miller, assistants. assist-ants. Marjorie Houtz is the new secretary. Lenore Weight is the retiring re-tiring president and all others were advanced to their present positions. |
