Show MRS. MARY BINKS HONORED AT BIRTHDAY PARTY Mrs. Mary E. Parry Binks, who observed her seventy-ninth birthday birth-day Monday, was guest of honor at a party that night at the home of J. A. Binks of Mapleton. More than fifty members of the family, children, grandchildren, grandchild-ren, and great-grandchildren, were present to offer felicitations and birthday greetings to Mrs. Binks during the evening. A gorgeous white birthday cake with seventy-nine pink candles can-dles formed a central decorative piece, and light refreshments were served all guests present. Mrs. Binks was born May 13, 1861 in Berkenhead, England, a daughter of John Parry and Eleanor Carter Parry. She came to Springville with her parents when she was 12 years old on July 24, 1873. She was married to W. J. Binks and is the mother of seven living children, as follows: Mrs. Sadie Colman of Manti, Royal Binks of Schofield, and W. J. Binks, J. A. Binks, Mrs. Zina Dibble, Norris L. Binks and Ernest F. Binks, all of Mapleton. Mrs. Binks has been active in 'Relief Society work for many years and has also been affiliated with various other church organizations. organ-izations. At the present time she is very active in doing artistic quilt work for the Relief Society I in Mapleton. |
