Show COMPLAINTS OF LAW VIOLATIONS GO TO OFFICERS City councif members went on record Wednesday evening as opposing op-posing interference of the county coun-ty attorney's office in settlement of law enforcement problems properly belonging to local police officers. A recent visit of William Elton, assistant county attorney to Bingham Canyon, for purpose of conferring with local officers in regards to complaints made to the attorney's office, brought a-bout a-bout a lengthy discussion. According to City Recorder Eugene Morris, the city council has complete confidence in ability abil-ity of Bingham's police force to adequately handle complaints. They are competent and no outside out-side help should be thought necessary ne-cessary in law enforcement within with-in the city. Complaints of law. violations should be made to the chief of police, police officers or the city council, Mr. Morris said. O |
