Show Grace Sutler to Wed Harold Johnson In 'Dec. ' W. N. O. CLUB MEMBERS WERE ENTERTAINED by Mrs. Morris Thorpe at her home on Thursday evening. A delicious luncheon was served early in the evening and later progressive 500 was the diversion. Prizes for the games were won by Mrs. George Wilson and Mrs. Dee Adams. Others attending were Mrs. Bert Childs, Mrs. Guy Strong, Mrs. Wilford Mower, Mrs. A. H. Mortensen, and Mrs. Carlyle Oiler-ton. Oiler-ton. I 8 An interesting nuptial announcement announce-ment of the late fall is the engagement engage-ment of Miss Grace Butler, daughter daugh-ter of Mr. and Mrs. C. L. Butler of this city, to Harold Johnson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Johnson of Spanish Fork. The marriage date is set for December De-cember 5, to take place at the home of the bride's parents, On the following evening, a reception will be held in the Fourth ward amusement hall. The couple plan to make their home in Hollywood, Calif., Mr. Johnson being employed in aircraft construction at Lockheed, Calif. THE VEDAS GAVE A DELIGHTFUL PARTY on Saturday evening in the form of a dinner-dance at Twin Pines. Art Bird, president of the club, was master of ceremonies, and a toast to the girls was given by Gene Averett, vice-president. Helen Clegg responded. After dinner the group enjoyed dancing. Club, members who with their partners attended were: Art Bird, Gene Averett, Guy Bird, Harold Gividen, Paul Hansen, Dick Miner, Ray Clark, Tommie Clements, Alton Al-ton Sumsion, Lyman Rothwell, Blaine Johnson, and Junior Johnson. THE MOTHERS' STUDY CLUB WILL MEET on Friday at 4 p. m., at the home of Mrs. Wayne Johnson, where Hugh Baxter of the high school will direct a discussion on the subject, sub-ject, "World Problems." |
